STV’s executive leadership team and Board Members Lynda Tran and John Porcari joined the organization’s local team in Southern California to volunteer at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. During their volunteer shift, the team sorted 19,583 pounds of produce, which is then distributed to local pantries throughout Los Angeles County.
“We’re proud to continue giving back to our local communities in Los Angeles,” said Liz Justison, PE, PMP, president of the Transportation West group at STV. “This is the second year in a row that STV has volunteered at a local nonprofit that provides access to food and healthy meals.”
Since its founding in 1973, the organization has distributed over 1.5 billion meals. The food bank supports 900,000 people each month, providing food to families, seniors and unhoused communities across the Los Angeles region, with 25% going to children and 20% to seniors.
“The food bank’s commitment to local food pantries resonates with us at STV—local connections are how you help communities thrive,” Justison said. “The organization is a lifeline for thousands of people across Los Angeles and we’re honored to have played a small part in the food bank’s immense daily operations to ensure children, families and thousands of Angelenos are fed.”
STV’s volunteers included: Greg Kelly, Liz Justison, Gene Kim, Chris Statham, Chuck Kohler, Jaqueline Opal, Jeremy Boswell, Anita Macaluso, Kristen Van Gilst, Kim Vierheilig, Judith Held, Chris Haney, Luis Delgado, Richard Amodei, Marcos Diaz Gonzalez, J.J. Roohms, Jerry Stump and Camila Ryder.
