Claire Brinkley, PE, AICP, vice president and Charlotte area manager at STV, has been appointed Secretary/Treasurer of the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina (ACEC/NC) Board of Directors.

ACEC/NC is the leading business association representing North Carolina’s engineering industry, advocating for policies and investments that strengthen infrastructure, support economic growth and advance the engineering profession. As Secretary/Treasurer, Brinkley will serve on the organization’s executive leadership team, helping to guide its strategic priorities, overseeing governance and financial responsibilities and supporting initiatives that benefit member firms and the communities they serve across the state.

“North Carolina is experiencing tremendous growth, and engineering firms are playing a critical role in helping communities deliver the infrastructure needed to support that future,” said Brinkley. “I’m honored to serve as Secretary/Treasurer and look forward to working alongside ACEC/NC’s members, public agency partners and industry leaders to advance policies, strengthen our profession and help ensure we continue delivering innovative solutions that improve quality of life across the state.”

A respected leader in engineering, planning and business operations, Brinkley brings more than 20 years of experience delivering transportation and infrastructure solutions that enhance mobility, strengthen communities and support economic growth across North Carolina. As STV’s area manager in Charlotte, she leads business development and operations across the region, partnering with clients and communities to deliver solutions that enhance mobility and drive economic opportunity throughout North Carolina.

Brinkley has been actively involved with ACEC/NC for many years, contributing to the organization’s advocacy for infrastructure investment, support for sound transportation policy and efforts to elevate the engineering profession across North Carolina. In addition to her leadership with ACEC/NC, she has served as a Director-at-Large for the WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter. She is also a member of the NC Section Institute of Transportation Engineers and of the American Planning Association.

“Claire’s appointment is a testament to the leadership, vision and credibility she has built throughout her career,” said Terry Snow, PE, senior vice president and Atlantic district manager at STV. “She is deeply committed to strengthening our industry, mentoring future leaders and delivering projects that make a lasting impact on communities. ACEC/NC will benefit tremendously from her experience and collaborative approach.”
