Elizabeth Lisk, PE, a structural engineer in STV’s national Buildings group, was recently named a 2025 ENR–ACE Outstanding Mentor, a prestigious national honor recognizing her dedication to inspiring and mentoring the next generation of design and construction professionals.

Lisk is one of five honorees selected by a jury of past Outstanding Mentors on behalf of the ACE Mentor Program of America, Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazine and its parent company BNP Media. This recognition highlights her impact on students, fellow mentors and the broader ACE community, exemplifying the commitment and effectiveness of ACE’s more than 4,100 mentors.

“Mentoring through ACE has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career,” Lisk said. “To be recognized nationally is incredibly meaningful, but the real reward is seeing our students grow, find their paths and get excited about careers in the AEC industry. That’s why I’m especially thrilled that my local chapter is receiving a student scholarship through my award – I can’t wait to meet the recipient!”

Lisk was first recognized as the ACE Mentor Program of Greater New York’s (ACE GNY) 2024 Mentor of the Year, making her the chapter’s nominee for this national award. In honor of her contributions, ACE GNY will award a scholarship in her name to one of the chapter’s students this spring. Now, with her national recognition, ACE GNY will receive an additional $2,500 award for another student scholarship, sponsored by ENR and BNP Media.

“This is a tremendous honor that speaks to Liz’s unwavering dedication to mentorship,” said Marcos Díaz González, president of the Transportation Northeast group at STV and chair of ACE GNY’s Board. “Being recognized at the national level by her peers is a testament to the impact she has had on the ACE program. We couldn’t be prouder of her.”

Lisk will be recognized at the ACE Mentor Program National Spring Board Meeting in Washington, D.C., this April and will also be featured in the ENR–ACE Annual Yearbook, published as part of ENR’s late August issue.

“Liz brings incredible passion and drive to making herself and the AEC industry better, and her leadership in the ACE Mentor Program is the perfect embodiment of both efforts,” said Chris Cerino, PE, F.SEI, DBIA, vice president and technical director of structural engineering, urbanism and planning at STV.
