Liz Justison, PE, PMP, president of STV’s Transportation West group, was honored by the Los Angeles Sustainability Coalition (LASC) with its Trailblazer Award for Outstanding Leadership. The award was presented during the Coalition’s 8th Annual Trailblazer Awards Dinner, held at the City Club in downtown Los Angeles.
The Trailblazer Awards recognize individuals who are championing equity, innovation, and sustainability across California’s transportation sector. Each year, LASC brings together leaders from public agencies, private industry and advocacy groups to celebrate those advancing bold, people-centered solutions in transportation. This year’s theme – “The Future of Transportation in California is Bright” – highlighted professionals working at the forefront of climate-conscious mobility and infrastructure.
Justison was honored for her exceptional leadership in delivering sustainable transit and rail solutions that reflect California’s evolving transportation needs. At STV, she leads the firm’s transportation practice on the West Coast and Pacific Northwest, overseeing multidisciplinary teams that support major infrastructure initiatives including commuter rail, light rail, bus, zero emissions transition and maintenance facilities.

“This award means so much because it reflects the values that drive our work every day– advancing equity, innovation and climate action through transportation,” said Justison. “I’m grateful to be part of a community committed to creating a more sustainable and accessible city, and to work alongside so many dedicated professionals making resilient, people-focused infrastructure a reality.”
With over 20 years of industry experience, Justison has built a reputation for fostering client-focused, community-driven solutions that address both long-term infrastructure goals and immediate mobility needs. In addition to her leadership at STV, she serves on the Board of Directors for the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), is a graduate of APTA’s Emerging Leaders Program, and is an active member of WTS-Los Angeles and the Rail~Volution National Steering Committee.
