STV’s Raoul Ilaw Joins Fortitude Board of Directors

Raoul Ilaw, PE, CCM, DBIA, FCMAA, vice president and project executive with STV’s program management and construction management (PM/CM) team, has been appointed to the board of directors for Fortitude, a nonprofit organization focused on developing the next generation of leaders in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry.

“Developing the next generation of leaders is essential to the future of our industry and the infrastructure that connects our communities,” Ilaw said. “At STV, developing and investing in emerging AEC leaders is a priority, and Fortitude gives us another opportunity to help professionals build the skills, relationships and confidence they need to lead our industry forward.”

Fortitude is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing the next generation of leaders in the built environment. Through its leadership development program, Fortitude connects emerging professionals with experienced industry leaders, providing mentorship, professional development, networking and scholarship opportunities. The program focuses on helping participants develop the skills, confidence and relationships necessary to become effective leaders.

Ilaw brings decades of industry leadership and project experience to the board, including longstanding involvement with the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). A Fellow of CMAA, he has held leadership roles with the organization and its Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI). As chair of CMCI’s Board of Governors, Ilaw helped spearhead the development of the Certified Associate Construction Manager (CACM) credential, creating a pathway for mid-career construction managers taking on greater project and program leadership responsibilities.
