STV’s Timothy Mason Appointed to CMAA National Foundation Board

Timothy Mason, CCM, area manager for STV’s program management and construction management (PM/CM) team in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, has been named to the Construction Management Association of America’s (CMAA) national Foundation board. This post recognizes his leadership, technical excellence and long-standing commitment to the construction management industry.

Mason has been an active member of CMAA’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter for more than 15 years. In that Masone he advanced from volunteer to chapter president and now serves as immediate past president.

Formed in 1999, the CMAA Foundation supports the association’s philanthropic mission through scholarships, workforce development and research initiatives, supplementing CMAA’s charitable activities and awarding five scholarships annually.

For more than 35 years, Mason has supported the delivery of signature projects and programs for the K-12, higher education, industrial, health care and aviation market sectors throughout the United States. Most recently, he and his team made significant contributions to the construction of a $1.9 billion, one-million-square-foot, 27-story new tower at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Previously, he supported delivery of Concourse-G, the first concourse completed as part of LaGuardia Airport’s $8 billion reconstruction program.

A dedicated advocate for the profession, Mason has supported numerous initiatives through CMAA’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter to advance the industry, including chairing technical programs, contributing to CMAA publications, raising scholarship funds, building partnerships with industry organizations and actively mentoring young professionals.

In 2024, Mason was appointed to CMAA’s national standards of practice committee, which is responsible for proposing, evaluating and prioritizing industry publications and standards. In this role, he contributed to CMAA’s e-book on cost management guidelines and is currently working on claims management guidelines.

“It’s an honor to serve on the CMAA national foundation board and support an organization that plays such a key role in developing future construction management professionals,” Mason said. “I’m proud to contribute to initiatives that strengthen the industry, expand access to education and create meaningful opportunities for the next generation.”
