Richard Amodei, President of STV Transportation Northeast, was inducted as a new member of the prestigious Moles organization. He was honored at the annual business and dinner meeting earlier this month, along with 27 new fellow members as part of the Class of 2023.
Founded in 1936, The Moles is the most distinguished organization in the heavy construction industry. It is comprised of construction and engineering professionals who have played a significant role in the development of tunnel, subway, water, foundation, marine, sub-aqueous and other heavy construction projects.
“It comes as no surprise that Rich was chosen to join the Moles,” said Greg Kelly, P.E., STV president and chief executive officer — and longstanding Moles member. “Rich abides by the standards of excellence that we all commit to as Moles. I know that he will apply the same leadership, integrity, and hard work that he brings to his projects, clients and colleagues, to this distinguished organization.”
Since joining STV in 1999, Rich has been instrumental in growing STV’s role in the transportation infrastructure market throughout the U.S. and Canada. Under his leadership, the Northeast transportation group has continued to flourish, and undertakes many of the firm’s most expansive and complex assignments — including the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Grand Central Madison and Second Avenue Subway Phase II projects, the MBTA’s Green Line Extension LRT, the Delaware River Port Authority’s Glassboro-Camden Line, and Amtrak’s historic Gateway Program.
“I am honored to be a member of the Moles and to be counted among such an incredible group of professionals — who have contributed so much to the engineering and construction of heavy infrastructure across the nation,” Rich said. “I want to thank my sponsors and fellow Moles for this honor and look forward to being a part of the Moles’ continued legacy and leadership in support of these unprecedented times of investment in heavy infrastructure nationwide.”
“Rich will be an outstanding member of the Moles,” said Dominick Servedio, P.E., STV chairman, and Moles member “one whose values, interpersonal skills, and professional qualifications align strongly with the mission and qualities of the membership roster.”
