Wes Markham Named to Florida Engineering Leadership Institute Class of 2026

Wes Markham, PE, engineering director at STV in Jacksonville, has been selected to join the 2026 class of the Florida Engineering Leadership Institute (FELI), an initiative of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida (ACEC-FL).

FELI is a distinguished leadership development program designed to transform engineering professionals into community and business leaders. Over 10 months, participants engage in workshops and collaborative sessions that promote professional growth, culminating in a class project that supports communities across Florida.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to take part in this year’s FELI program,” Markham said. “I look forward to learning from my peers and applying those insights to strengthen the work we do at STV to improve mobility and connectivity throughout the state.”

With more than 22 years of experience, Markham has built a career focused on delivering high-quality design for transportation infrastructure. He specializes in Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) roadway and bridge projects and has served as lead project engineer on multiple design-build initiatives. His expertise spans roadway geometric design, drainage and stormwater systems, maintenance of traffic and signing and pavement marking. He also specializes in serving as an owner’s representative for FDOT on large design-build projects, developing bridging documents and verifying compliance throughout construction.

Through his participation in FELI, Markham joins a network of professionals dedicated to advancing the engineering industry and strengthening Florida’s infrastructure through innovation, collaboration and leadership.
