Patricia Macchi, STV vice president and National Director of Infrastructure Economics and Grant Advisory, has been honored for her dedication and service to WTS International by being elected a board director for the WTS Foundation, which coordinates scholarships, research and educational activities across all of WTS’ local chapters.
Macchi was named to the 2024-2026 WTS Foundation Board at the 2024 WTS International Annual Conference, which was held earlier this month in New Orleans, LA.
“This is such an incredible honor, and I am truly humbled to be able to serve the WTS community and the industry at large in this capacity,” Macchi said. “I am proud of my long-standing stewardship to WTS and for my support in helping the next generation of women identify jobs and other opportunities in the transportation industry.”
Macchi is an active member of the WTS Washington, D.C., Chapter and is a member of WTS International’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee. Additionally, she is an Advisory Council Member for the Equity in Infrastructure Project and a member of Women of Electric Vehicles.
The WTS Foundation meets its mission by expanding existing scholarship opportunities to women pursuing transportation-related degrees; providing and promoting education opportunities and career development to advance women in transportation; and initiating, sponsoring and publishing research related to advancing women in transportation.
