Montgomery County Community College’s 61,000-square-foot Advanced Technology Center (ATC) provides a collaborative learning environment, bringing together the humanities and science and promoting an interdisciplinary approach to education.
STV provided architectural and engineering design for the four-story building that accommodates the college’s Humanities, Social Science, Math/Science/Advanced Technologies, Information Technology and Business/Computer Science divisions.
The ATC is a signature building for the college that features a three-story glass atrium; a multilevel cyber tower with Internet access; a small observatory; and a mix of smart classrooms, television and radio studios, lounges, and teaching labs for music, science and computers. STV also prepared plans for the walks, landscaping, hardscaping, site furnishings and parking areas.
