Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center

In the heart of rapidly growing Orange County, the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) serves as a modern and sustainable mobility gateway. The 67,000‑square‑foot, three‑level transit hub connects more than 5,000 daily passengers to 10 transportation modes –including rail, bus, micro‑mobility, and future regional transit – while supporting more than 3 million annual commuters and visitors traveling to major destinations such as Anaheim Stadium, the Honda Center and the broader Southern California region. Replacing an outdated station, ARTIC eases congestion, modernizes the passenger experience and strengthens multimodal connectivity.

What challenges did STV address?

The City of Anaheim and regional partners required a next‑generation mobility hub that could accommodate growing ridership, unify multiple transit systems and provide a sustainable alternative to single‑occupancy vehicle travel. Building the facility while maintaining continuous rail and station operations demanded tight coordination, phased construction and rigorous stakeholder management.

What solutions did STV deliver?

As trusted program management consultants, STV partnered closely with the City of Anaheim, the Orange County Transportation Authority and project stakeholders. STV delivered comprehensive program and construction management services, overseeing station development, facility integration, operations coordination and construction activities. The team facilitated uninterrupted rail service and safe transit operations throughout the build – helping deliver a LEED® Platinum‑certified facility that sets a new standard for sustainable design in transit infrastructure.

How does this project benefit the region?

ARTIC enhances mobility across Orange County by connecting communities to jobs, entertainment, education, and regional destinations. Its sustainable design reduces environmental impact, encourages transit use, and advances long-term regional transportation goals. The project has earned national recognition for innovation, sustainability and engineering excellence.
