As Autodesk, Inc. – a global leader in design, engineering, manufacturing and media software – continued to grow its Boston workforce, the company expanded into 18,606 square feet of new office space on the west side of the Innovation & Design Building. The project increased Autodesk’s total footprint to more than 85,981 square feet across four floors, enabling the company to enhance collaboration, accommodate team growth and modernize its workplace experience.
What challenges did STV address?
Autodesk required a seamless expansion that connected new office space with its existing workplace while maintaining brand consistency, operational efficiency and an open, collaborative environment. The project needed to integrate updated design standards, expanded meeting space and enhanced audiovisual technology into an active, occupied setting – minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

STV served as owner’s project manager, guiding Autodesk through renovation planning, construction oversight and integration of the new office space. STV also oversaw the refreshed design aesthetic, incorporating Boston‑themed sports graphics and open office features that align with Autodesk’s culture and brand identity.
