Burbank-Hollywood Airport Access Study

The Hollywood-Burbank Airport (formerly Burbank Bob Hope Airport) serves more than six million passengers annually and is the only airport in the area with a direct rail connection to Los Angeles and the greater Southern California region. The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority and the City of Burbank initiated a multimodal ground access planning study to develop two options associated with transportation and related land use development to further improve connectivity and enhance economic vitality in the region.

STV oversaw the management, planning, and outreach activities for one track of the program, which involved a comprehensive transportation planning study that made recommendations to improve multimodal ground access and intermodal connectivity to the airport site and facilities. The firm developed local and regional transportation access alternatives, identified and evaluated land use options, and packaged potential projects into a multi-year implementation program.

Providing more access options to one of California’s fastest-growing airports.
