At a symbolic height of 1,776 feet, One World Trade Center (One WTC) is a vital component of the redevelopment of the World Trade Center site. The landmark building is the centerpiece of the former World Trade Center site and is a testament to the strength and resiliency of New Yorkers.
Consisting of more than 3.6 million square feet, One WTC includes office space, restaurants, an observation deck and broadcast facilities housed within its stunning glass facade. As one of the “greenest” skyscrapers in the world, the building achieved LEED® Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, staking its claim as the tallest LEED®-certified building in the Western Hemisphere.
As the program manager and owner’s representative on behalf of The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, STV oversaw the design and construction teams at One WTC. The project’s significance required an advanced, state-of-the-art life-safety system that exceeds the requirements of the New York City Building Code.
