STV’s fingerprints can be found throughout nearly every campus corner of Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. When the university sought to consolidate its visual arts programs into a single space, Kutztown turned to STV, who has provided a variety of planning, design and construction management services for over 60 projects at the university.
STV provided comprehensive design services for the brand-new Sharadin Arts Building. The 55,400-square-foot addition and renovated 55,300-square-foot existing facility now house the university’s specialized art teaching labs and studios for students in the fine arts, art education and crafts and communication design programs. The expanded space includes a new art gallery, a renovated lecture hall, a new entrance and a new “piazza,” which functions as a meeting place and gateway into the campus. The firm also provided construction management services for the facility. Phased construction was a key element for the project being completed on schedule.
