St. Mark Catholic Church

Designed to align with the other Spanish mission-style buildings on the campus, the new St. Mark Catholic Church in Argyle, TX, is now the largest in the Fort Worth Catholic Diocese. STV was the lead designer and architect-of-record for the building, which serves more than 1,850 parishioners.

STV’s design includes a hand-painted ceiling and hand-built mosaics imported from Italy. The structure also incorporates a Variable Air Volume (VAV) cooling system and Insulated Concrete Forms to provide energy-efficient heating and cooling for the space. Unlike standard systems, which supply a constant airflow at a variable temperature, VAV systems vary the airflow at a constant or varying temperature, allowing for more control and containment from room to room.

STV has been a long-standing partner of St. Mark’s since the Parish moved to their current location in 2012. As part of the Parish’s capital campaign and revitalization plan, STV was the architect-of-record for the Parish Activity Center (which served as a temporary worship space during construction of the new sanctuary) and religious education building.

Crafting a space that meets current community needs while designing for the future.
