Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge Toll Plaza Improvements

To enhance operational efficiency on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge between Brooklyn and Staten Island, the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (TBTA) initiated improvements to the 470-foot-long westbound toll plaza on the Staten Island side of the bridge. The three-phase project involved removal of 11 toll booths, replacement and relocation of an HVAC unit, replacement of the toll booth canopy roof and improved access to the Staten Island Expressway.

STV was contracted by the TBTA to provide construction administration and inspection services for all work performed by the contractor. Services included keeping daily records of progress, conducting daily records of progress, monitoring project schedules, processing contract payments, reviewing change orders and issuing monthly progress reports.
