Emily KotsaftisNEW YORK, NY – STV, a professional services firm that plans, designs and manages infrastructure projects across North America, today announced that Emily Kotsaftis, AIA, LEED AP, has joined the firm as vice president and architectural director. In this role, Kotsaftis will lead the transportation market for the firm’s national buildings practice, overseeing architectural transit and aviation projects in the eastern United States.

Kotsaftis is an architect with more than 20 years of experience. Her area of expertise lies primarily in the transportation market, where she has been involved in the design and construction of various subway, transit and aviation projects across the New York metropolitan region. Prior to joining STV, Kotsaftis worked for a New York City-based architecture firm, where she led the transportation and infrastructure studio.

Kotsaftis received her Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Building Science from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, with a minor in Transportation Engineering. She is a longstanding member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and has held positions on the New York Chapter’s Board of Directors.
