Two STV rising stars on our program management and construction management team were recently selected by the Construction Management Association of America, (CMAA) for an exclusive professional development cohort.
Gina Marie Napoli, assistant project manager and Alyssa Pollastro, assistant project manager, were selected as two of the 10 participants in this year’s CMAA’s Emerging Leaders Program (ELP). The program, a year-long, intensive leadership experience, is aimed at providing early career professionals with the skills and experience to assume more responsibilities within their organizations, local CMAA chapters, and the community.
Both Napoli’s and Pollastro’s journeys in the industry began as undergraduates at Manhattan College, during which they were selected for STV’s intern program. After making their mark as enthusiastic and informed interns, both were invited to return to STV, initially in part-time roles during COVID-19 and now as full-time team members supporting key healthcare construction programs.
“In just a few years, we both advanced from interns to trusted project team members and now are representing STV in this program,” Napoli said. “Ultimately, this program will help us better support our clients and our project teams.”
“Our team has given us the support we need to balance our project work with the ELP training,” Pollastro said. “That has allowed us to apply lessons learned directly in the field.”
The year-long program will culminate with a final presentation to industry leaders at the CMAA Focus25 conference in March.
