Patricia Macchi, vice president and national director of infrastructure economics and grants advisory at STV, is expanding her leadership in the transportation industry through her appointment to treasurer of the WTS Foundation Board of Directors for the 2026–2028 term, further supporting efforts to advance funding strategies, strengthen workforce development and expand access to careers in transportation.
Macchi’s appointment builds on her prior service as a member of the WTS Foundation Board and chair of the Research Committee. In her new role, she will help guide the foundation’s financial stewardship as it invests in scholarships, workforce development and research that support the next generation of transportation professionals.
At STV, Macchi’s work in infrastructure economics and grants advisory supports clients navigating complex funding environments and advancing programs that connect investment decisions with long-term community and workforce outcomes.
“WTS plays a critical role in opening doors across our industry,” Macchi said. “This role is an opportunity to help ensure those pathways continue to grow, connecting more people to meaningful careers and strengthening the future of transportation.”
A long-standing member of the WTS community, Macchi has contributed to initiatives that expand access to education, mentorship and career pathways for women across the transportation field. She is engaged with her local Washington, D.C., chapter and has contributed to committees focused on broadening participation and advancing leadership opportunities across the industry.
Through its work, the WTS Foundation invests in scholarships, career development and research that strengthen the transportation workforce pipeline – helping more women enter the field, advance in their careers and contribute to the industry’s long-term growth and resilience.
