Hartford, CT – STV, a leading professional services firm that plans, designs and manages infrastructure projects across North America, today welcomed Sandra Stavola, PE, as vice president in its Hartford, Connecticut office. Stavola will lead business development efforts for STV’s construction and engineering inspection (CEI) group in Connecticut, focusing on driving growth and strengthening client partnerships throughout the region.  

With more than 35 years of experience specializing in highway, bridge and rail construction management, Stavola has overseen numerous multi-million-dollar projects on time and within budget while maintaining safety and quality standards. Her program management expertise spans nearly two decades of high-profile work across Connecticut. Throughout her career, she has developed strong working relationships with state and municipal leaders, including the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT), Metro-North Railroad and the City of New Haven.  

“Sandra is a recognized leader in delivering design and construction excellence on some of the most complex projects in the region,” said Dave Breza, PE, vice president and Connecticut area manager at STV. “Her leadership will play a pivotal role in building strong connections with our clients and the community and driving growth within the local market.” 

Stavola brings extensive alternative delivery knowledge to STV. Her experience includes serving as quality control administrator for design-build projects and providing program management services using the construction manager/general contractor delivery method. She has represented owners on alternative delivery initiatives and supported procurement services for major transit-oriented developments utilizing innovative delivery approaches around Connecticut. 

A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Stavola was recently appointed president of the Connecticut Chapter of Construction Management Association of America. She is known for her commitment to mentorship and professional development, empowering teams to grow and innovate.
