RALEIGH, NC – STV today announced the opening of its new 6,547-square-foot office at 400H in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The move places STV in the heart of the city’s vibrant core, positioning the firm closer to key clients, teaming partners and regional transit connections.
This opening marks STV’s second recent office move in North Carolina. The firm expanded its Charlotte presence late last year, celebrating the new space with an open house for clients and partners in February. Together, these moves reflect STV’s long-term investment in the Carolinas and its commitment to supporting the region’s rapid growth with innovative, community-focused infrastructure solutions.

“Being in the heart of downtown Raleigh gives us more direct access to our clients and partners, as well as greater connectivity through bus and rail transit,” said Patrick Livingston, PE, vice president and Raleigh area manager at STV. “It’s a dynamic new setting that energizes our team and fosters collaboration – not just internally, but with the local community.”
STV has a nearly 70-year history delivering complex roadway, bridge and transit projects across North Carolina, including award-winning work for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and various local municipalities. Signature projects include the Lake Wheeler Road Improvement Project in Raleigh and NCDOT’s Military Cutoff Road Extension in Wilmington, among others.
The new Raleigh office follows STV’s broader workplace transformation initiative, which began with the opening of STV’s new headquarters at the Empire State Building in New York City in 2024 along with reimagined workspaces nationwide, including in Dallas, Charlotte, Jacksonville and now Raleigh. Each space reflects STV’s Strategic Plan priorities to reimagine its operations and invest in a world-class employee experience. Designed for flexibility and collaboration, the new offices adopt an Activity Based Working (ABW) environment, featuring a range of work settings, cutting-edge technology and ample natural light.

STV maintains a strong regional footprint with six offices across the Carolinas, including Raleigh, Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Rock Hill, Columbia and North Charleston. In North Carolina, the firm was recently named 2025 Employer of the Year by the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) NC Triangle Chapter, where Carolinas District Manager Terry Snow also received the 2025 Honorable Ray LaHood Award for advancing women and minorities in transportation. Additionally, STV’s Tiffany Preddy was recognized as 2025 Young Professional of the Year by the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina (ACEC/NC).
