REXA, Inc., recently celebrated a major milestone with the groundbreaking of its new 112,000-square-foot corporate headquarters and advanced manufacturing facility at Campus 44 in Middleborough, Massachusetts. The project represents an important step in REXA’s growth as a leading U.S. manufacturer and a significant investment in the region’s economy.
STV is serving as the owner’s project manager (OPM) for the project, overseeing design, permitting and construction and relocation management to help the new facility meet REXA’s operational needs and long-term growth goals.
“The opening of this facility represents a significant milestone for REXA,” said Jordan Senerth, senior project manager with STV’s program and construction management (PM/CM) group. “Beyond supporting the company’s growth, it secures 100 existing jobs and creates 25 new opportunities, reinforcing local talent and contributing to Massachusetts’ manufacturing strength. STV is proud to play a role in delivering a facility that drives both business success and community impact.”
REXA specializes in engineered process control solutions from oil and gas to renewable energy, highlighting its role as a key contributor to both local and global industries.
Once completed in summer 2026, the facility will unify REXA’s engineering, design and manufacturing operations under one roof. The building features approximately 20,000 square feet of two-story office space, expansive production areas with 28-foot clear heights, a 74-foot by 56-foot bay grid and multiple loading docks designed to enhance operational efficiency. Developed in collaboration with Boston Industrial Consulting, the design enhances material flow from receiving to shipping, supporting smooth manufacturing workflows.
REXA’s relocation is projected to generate over $1 million annually in local spending, further reinforcing Middleborough’s position as a hub for advanced manufacturing. The Town of Middleborough’s unanimous approval of a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) agreement demonstrates strong municipal support for this investment.
“This groundbreaking reflects months of collaboration and strategic planning,” said John Waitkunas, vice president and project executive for STV’s PM/CM team. “Beyond supporting REXA’s operations, this facility will serve as a catalyst for the regional manufacturing ecosystem, fostering innovation and attracting additional economic activity to Middleborough and the surrounding area.”
