STV’s west coast leadership team recently volunteered with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, supporting its ongoing efforts to fight hunger across Los Angeles County.
With many STV employees living and working in Los Angeles, the opportunity to support a local organization was especially meaningful for the team. STV’s volunteers worked alongside food bank staff to help sort and package food for distribution, collaborating closely to keep pace with the organization’s daily operations. In just a few hours, the group helped process more than 10,000 pounds of food, contributing to the organization’s large‑scale daily operations.

Founded in 1973, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is one of the nation’s largest food banks and works with a network of more than 600 partner agencies to help provide food to individuals and families throughout the region. The food bank supports approximately 900,000 people each month, including families, seniors and individuals experiencing food insecurity, with an estimated 25% of food reaching children and 20% supporting seniors. Volunteers play a vital role by inspecting, sorting and packaging food to ensure it can be distributed efficiently and safely across the county.
“Giving back to the communities where we live and work is an important part of how we lead at STV,” said Liz Justison, PE, PMP, regional transportation president at STV. “Our leaders are proud to volunteer with a local organization that plays such a critical role in ensuring families, seniors and individuals across Los Angeles County have access to food. The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is a true lifeline for the community, and we’re honored to support the work they do every day.”
