STV’s longstanding commitment to improving the lives of New Yorkers through key public housing initiatives was recently recognized with a formal Citation from the New York City Council, presented by Council Member Rafael Salamanca Jr.

The Citation highlights STV’s contributions to the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) across several projects. STV has provided program management and construction management (PM/CM) services for capital improvement efforts aimed at modernizing public housing, improving safety and raising residents’ quality of life.

“This is a powerful acknowledgment of the people behind the projects who are working closely with NYCHA, residents and the City to make real, lasting improvements,” said Vincent (Vinnie) Zito, project executive. “We are honored to receive this recognition and remain deeply committed to the communities we serve.”

STV actively supports community engagement efforts that enhance public housing life, including initiatives in partnership with NYCHA. Activities like holiday toy drives, support for school trips, family events and job fairs for NYCHA residents promote well-being, strengthen connections and empower residents with valuable resources.

Council Member Salamanca represents District 17 in the Bronx, one of the many areas in New York where STV’s partnership with NYCHA is transforming aging infrastructure and fostering more equitable housing outcomes.

For years, STV has provided PM/CM services for various NYCHA initiatives, including the Polo Grounds campus project and the design-build project at Saint Nicholas Houses in Harlem. STV’s work with NYCHA has earned several industry awards, including projects for The Andrew Jackson Houses in the Bronxsecurity enhancements across 34 developments and Kingsborough Houses in Brooklyn. These efforts support NYCHA’s strategic goals to modernize facilities, promote sustainability and provide responsive, community-focused improvements throughout its portfolio.

Project Executive George Diakoumakos added, “The award reflects STV’s dedication not only to technical excellence but also to community partnership and trust that continue to shape our work in the public sector.”
