The new unified Ocean Charter School brings kindergarten through eighth‑grade students together on a single campus designed to support experiential, arts‑integrated learning.

The school’s longtime separation across two sites created operational inefficiencies and limited opportunities for cross‑grade collaboration. Establishing a consolidated campus required transforming an industrial site into a safe, welcoming educational environment while navigating complex site conditions, including the need for demolition of existing structures and dewatering due to the property’s proximity to the Ballona Wetlands.
What solutions did STV deliver?
STV provided comprehensive construction management services for the development of 55,000 square feet of new school facilities and 26,000 square feet of underground parking. Our team oversaw all phases of construction – from site preparation and demolition to vertical building work – ensuring the delivery of specialized learning spaces such as a rooftop garden, performing arts center, and age‑appropriate outdoor areas. STV coordinated closely with the client, contractor and regulatory agencies to maintain budget, schedule and educational objectives throughout project delivery.
