STV has been selected by One Brooklyn Health System, Inc. (OBHS), to provide program management services for a transformative health care system restructuring in Brooklyn. As part of a multi-year contract, STV is providing planning, design and construction oversight for multiple projects at several hospitals and ambulatory care facilities that are co-operated by OBHS, including Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, Interfaith Medical Center and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center.

The $700 million program, which was approved by the New York State Department of Health, is based on the Brooklyn Study: Reshaping the Future of Healthcare from True North. This plan calls for clinical integration of the hospital service lines and updating and strengthening medical facilities and critical infrastructure that will preserve patient safety; meet regulatory standards; accommodate clinical restructuring; decrease outmigration; enhance patient access and experience; and achieve operational savings for this new health system. In addition to the improved facilities, New York state officials estimated that the program stands to create about 255 jobs and bring an additional 300 primary care physicians to central Brooklyn.
