National’s Harbor’s Hampton Inn & Suites Hotel occupies approximately 21,000-square-feet on Waterfront Street in Prince George’s County, MD, and is situated across from the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center – the focal point of a mixed-used waterfront “mini-city” development.
STV designed and prepared construction documents for the 12-story, 151-room hotel. The hotel’s design strived to capture the urban context of the area as well as frame streets, plazas and other public spaces. Additionally, the team’s design visually relates to the massive Gaylord building. The goal was use every square inch of the compact site as effectively and creatively as possible.
