Three Florida transportation projects supported by STV earned statewide recognition for improvements that help communities travel more safely, efficiently and reliably. Honored by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida (ACEC Florida) and the Florida Transportation Builders’ Association (FTBA), the projects reflect STV’s work alongside clients and project partners on bridge replacement, corridor expansion and roadway safety improvements across the state.

The Jupiter Bascule Bridge Replacement received the 2026 ACEC Florida/FDOT Outstanding Bridge Project Award and an FTBA Best in Construction Award in the Major Bridges category. STV served as the prime construction engineering and inspection (CEI) consultant for the project, which replaced the aging U.S. 1 bridge over the Loxahatchee River with a modern movable span that improves reliability for motorists and marine traffic and serves as a new gateway into Jupiter.

FTBA also recognized the SR 429 Corridor Capacity Improvements Project – Segment 2, from south of Florida’s Turnpike to West Road, with the Expressway Authority Project of the Year award. As the CEI consultant for the Central Florida Expressway Authority, STV provided construction administration and multidisciplinary inspection services to support the widening of 6.1 miles of SR 429 from four to six lanes, including Flex Lanes, to improve regional mobility.

In Northeast Florida, the Safety Improvements CR 220 at Lakeshore Drive project in Clay County received recognition in FTBA’s Local Agency Program category. Delivered under Florida Department of Transportation District Two, the project included intersection safety enhancements, such as the installation of a new box-span traffic signal and median access modifications to improve roadway safety and traffic operations. STV provided design and post-design engineering services for the project, helping deliver the $3.4 million construction effort within the original 360-day contract duration.
“Whether replacing a bridge that serves as a gateway to a community, expanding capacity along a heavily traveled regional corridor or improving safety at a local intersection, each project reflects a shared commitment among owners, designers and construction teams to deliver infrastructure that improves everyday travel and supports future growth,” said Keith Jackson, PE, senior vice president and Florida district manager at STV. “These recognitions demonstrate what can be achieved when strong partnerships, technical expertise and disciplined project delivery come together to address the evolving needs of Florida’s communities.”
