FRISCO, TX – STV, a leading professional services firm that plans, designs and manages infrastructure projects across North America, today announced Tony Bokaie, MSCE, PE, has joined the firm as vice president and senior program manager in its transportation Texas/Mountain region. In this role, Bokaie will lead the region’s Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) team for major transportation projects in the Lone Star State.

Roohms, PE, president of the transportation Texas/Mountain region at STV. “His technical acumen will be invaluable as we support some of the fastest-growing communities in Texas.”
Texas recently received $5.6 billion in federal funding. While the funding hasn’t been allocated to specific projects yet, the largest share, about $3 billion, is earmarked for the state’s National Highway Performance Programs; $115 million is planned for bridges; and $86 million is allotted for electric vehicle infrastructure. In his role, Bokaie will support STV clients and agency leaders in maximizing these funds with strategically managed resources that prioritize project compliance.
Prior to joining STV, Bokaie dedicated more than three decades to the CEI industry, specializing in alternative delivery, public works and transportation. With this multi-disciplinary expertise, Bokaie will be responsible for growing key client relationships and enhancing STV’s service delivery by deploying data-driven processes.
Bokaie is a graduate of Iowa State University and California State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in construction engineering and his Master of Science in engineering and management, respectively. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and California and is an active member of several community and professional organizations in Texas. Most recently, Bokaie served as President of the Construction Management Association of America’s Central and North Texas chapters. He is also an active committee member with the American Council of Engineering Companies, American Society of Highway Engineers and Society of American Military Engineers.
STV has successfully completed projects in every major metropolitan region in Texas – including Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio and Austin. This includes major milestones for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) on each segment of the Capital Expressway (CapEx) improvement projects: from final plan delivery of CapEx South, planning for CapEx North and schematic and environmental support for CapEx Central. The firm has a proven track record of developing integrated management strategies for water and wastewater treatment projects, including the award-winning Vista Ridge Regional Supply Project in San Antonio, Texas and Walnut Hill Pump Station in Dallas, Texas. Currently, STV is providing planning, design and PM/CM services for major aviation improvement programs in Texas, including Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. System-wide upgrades for the Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority’s New Starts light rail transit system and the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Light Rail Transit System are also underway with STV’s support.
