The Amelia Island Parkway Trail is a nearly four-mile shared-use corridor that enhances bicycle and pedestrian connectivity across Amelia Island in Northeast Florida. Designed by STV for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 2 through the Local Agency Program (LAP), the approximately $8 million project extends along Amelia Island Parkway from SR A1A (Fletcher Avenue) to SR 200 (S. 8th Street). Funded through a combination of state and federal sources, including Florida’s Shared-Use Nonmotorized (SUN) Trail Program, the project closes a critical gap in the island’s growing trail network and provides residents and visitors with a safer, more continuous route between destinations.
